about

I wrote this song about John Hodgman's narrative of Ragnarok: movies.netflix.com/Movie/John_Hodgman_RAGNAROK/70273399.

It's a sequel to the Apocalypse, a story of survival, a love song.

lyrics

As the blood waves come and the ashes fall
We'll stay safe behind these walls
We've hoarded food and our mayonnaise
Gonna make it through the end of days

I survived the dogstorm in your arms
We rode out the Omega pulse
In a blackened world that's lost its charm
We're the only ones who kept the faith

We listened to the prophecies
Of deranged millionaires and Mayan priests
Got a boat and a bunker and a super car
Got a bat for protection and a thousand Mason jars

I survived the dogstorm in your arms
We rode out the Omega pulse
In a blackened world that's lost its charm
We're the only ones who kept the faith

Through Ragnarok we're holding on

And I still hear the cries of fear
But through it all, you held me near
Now we both taste the sulphuric waste
But it's up to us to repopulate
